Global Gaming League Joins Forces With AMD for World’s Largest Online Gaming Tournament

GGL’S Top Gamers to Receive an AMD Athlon 64 FX Processor

Santa Monica, CA - September 14, 2004 - The Global Gaming League (GGL), the leading sports entertainment organization that promotes competitive video gaming, proudly announced today that AMD Athlon 64 FX is the Official Microprocessor of the 2K4 Online Season. In addition to players having the opportunity to win $100,000 in cash and prizes, the “world’s largest online gaming tournament” will award the top ten GGL tournament winning gamers an
AMD Athlon 64 FX processor.

The Global Gaming League’s 2K4 Online Season is a seven-month event in which top players have the opportunity to win their share of over $100,000 in cash and prizes. The tournament features ten games, including six first-person shooter titles (Doom III, Counter-Strike, Quake III, Unreal Tournament 2004, Call of Duty and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory) and four real-time strategy titles (Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Starcraft: Broodwar, Age of Mythology: The Titans and Age of Empires II: The Conquerors). The season consists of five team and seven one-on-one competitions.
