| Multi-Function Panel Shootout - 3 USING MULTI-FUNCTION FRONT PANELS Card reader. On Windows XP card readers are automatically recognized and installed as Internal Disk drive with a unit letter attach to each reader. On any other older Windows than XP, supplied drivers will have to be installed first for proper recognition of the new device. Each drive works exactly like a hard disk drive as long as a memory card is inserted in it. all four card readers can be used at same time and files can be copied from one another without problem. Fan and Temp monitoring Hard to make things easier. On both panels, the mode button allows you to swap from Temp1 & Fan1 speed to Temp2 and Fan2 speed.real time display that will help you deciding whether of not you should adjust Fan1 and/or Fan2 speed with VR1 and/or VR2. If one the 2 monitored speeds is getting too low (1000 or 2000RPM according to jumper) or if the monitored temp is reaching the limit previously chosen (jumpers on SUNBEAM, switch on ENERMAX) the buzzer will beep until action is taken to solve the issue. Plugs All the plugs, like card readers, are, on both panel, are hot-swappable, so you can connect and disconnect them without having to turn off your computer. Finally, if your PC has a front door be very careful when leaving a USB dongle in the plug to avoid any door chock that could easily destroy the dongle... Conclusion After spending a week with each panel, it’s now getting really hard to make a choice. In fact they have similar temp and fan control specifications, same card reading potential and both are very well made The SUNBEAM 20-IN-1 is a bit cheaper while offering audio connections not found on the ENERMAX DELUXE UC-9FATR2. On its side the ENERMAX DELUXE UC-9FATR2 looks a bit better thanks to the backlight knobs and also offers more connections possibilities with a higher number of cables to chose from (I/O back panel or directly connect to M/B pin header). This is why you will have to choose according to your own need, mean and taste considering that we are giving both a well deserved 9/10 recommendation. AMDboard's Verdict What we like most on both panel - Ton of useful features - Great look ...and less - Jumpers (hard to reach) for temp and fan alarm instead of front panel switch - No real need for 2 SATA What we like most on SUNBEAM 20-IN-1 SUPERIOR PANEL - Complete audio connection - Price is good (starting at 35$) ...and less - no cable to plug on the mainboard supplied What we like most on ENERMAX DELUXE UC-9FATR2 PANEL - Cable to board supplied - Great looking knobs with variable backlight ...and less - No audio connection - Price a bit high compared to SUNBEAM 20-IN-1 (starting at 45$) - Can’t turn knobs light off What we would love to see in the future - More sensors and fan monitoring possibilities - Automated cooling control (specially for systems without cool’n’quiet feature) - More USB plugs - Remote control Specifications sheet Contacts - Enermax - Sunbeam Reviews We have tried here to provide real life information more than photo galleries of both panel. | Both panel are looking really good. On top the Sunbeam 20-in-1 has been mounted on an Antec chassis with apparent slidding rails while, below, the Enermax Deluxe has been mounted with hidden slidding rails on the Sytrin ICS 8200. This latter has also 4 sensors and a front panel but does not give access to manual control of chassis fans. Thanks to the Enermax panel's VRs we now have an optimized temp management |

| Both card readers are automatically recognized by Windows XP which will create a "Removable Disk" icon for each card slot. Files from inserted card can be cut, copied or pasted the same exact way we do with hard disk's ones. |
| Both panels haves a blues backlighted display where temp and fan speed are constantly available. The mode button allows to swap from Temp1 Fan1 to Temp2 Fan2 display |
