Com-Guard, Inc. Announces a $4,270,000 Purchase Order from Wintergreen Systems

CARLSBAD, Calif.  -Sept. 9, 2004 - Wintergreen Systems, Inc. Orders $4,270,000 of the New AMD Sempron-2400 PC With Com-Guard Trial Software

Com-Guard, Inc. (OTCBB:CGUD), a provider of security systems and products for the PC computer industry, today announced that it has received a purchase order from Wintergreen Systems, Inc., a supplier of systems solutions to the computer marketplace, for scheduled delivery of 14,000 computer systems. The Company has already delivered 2,030 units under the signed contract and purchase order. These systems represent the first of a new breed of computer utilizing the
Sempron Processor chip from AMD. "Our relationship with Wintergreen Systems allows us to take advantage of Com-Guard's strength in PC security technology and Wintergreen's focus on selling and distributing PCs with value-added security software and/or hardware," said Joe Sigismonti, President and COO of Com-Guard.

Com-Guard, Inc. has developed a product line based on data security and asset security. This new Sempron-based computer will include a Trial Version of Com-Guard's security software that will allow the end user to detect, protect, record, and be notified when unauthorized attempts are made to access the system or violate Com-Guard's security measures. Personal and confidential data files can be locked, hidden, and/or encrypted with a 256-bit encryption algorithm through the use of an intuitive administrative interface. Additionally, the software has provisions for monitoring other computer components for suspicious activity and can even detect motion and capture video records of physical intrusions using a web camera. If desired, the system will immediately warn the user of detected violations via phone, wireless, or e-mail communications.

Com-Guard, Inc. and Wintergreen Systems, under an OEM Sales Agreement announced earlier this year, have collaborated to provide a SecurePC(TM) product with enhanced security to the PC marketplace. Recently, Com-Guard has strengthened its strategy for providing its products into the mainstream PC marketplace. To accomplish this goal, Com-Guard, Inc. has launched a new wholly owned subsidiary (PC Products, Inc.) to enable the company to focus on selling to PC manufacturers and system integrators to provide Com-Guard Trial Version and/or the Purchase Version of Com-Guard security software and/or hardware products with PCs and PC-related products.

"Over the past year we have realized that PC consumers have been requiring that the security solutions that we provide be a part of the PC that they are purchasing. We are positioned to form on-going relationships using our PC Products subsidiary that will allow us to provide integrated Com-Guard software and hardware solutions to the end user or to provide PC buyers with Com-Guard Trial Version software products that can be upgraded in the future to the full Purchase Version and generate future sales and profit for the Company," said Dr. Edward W. Savarese, CEO and Chairman of Com-Guard, Inc.

According to Mr. Sigismonti: "The industry has been made harshly aware of the risks associated with modern-day computing. Unauthorized data access and identity theft have been, and will continue to be, an increasing problem that users are just beginning to understand. Often anti-virus and firewall products do not provide sufficient protection. Computers are vulnerable to data theft, and the average user is starting to become aware of the importance of protecting their important data and personal information. The last few years have brought the concerns of hardware, data theft, and identity theft to the forefront."

"Com-Guard products are able to provide added value to the sale of our computers. We intend to sell and bundle Com-Guard security products in many of our product offerings. We intend to provide the Trial Version with our new Sempron-based computers to give our customers an opportunity to evaluate and purchase a software product to safeguard and secure their information," said Mr. John Levy, President of Wintergreen Systems.
