- Yes! There is SSE 2 in Athlon 64!
Even though it happened last year, we still remember the Athlon 64 benchmarks c't provided. They shown a clear advantage of Athlon 64 over Pentium 4 and this could have been worst if the benchmarks programmes were optimized for SSE2 (Streaming SIMD2 Extensions) implemented in Athlon 64 thanks to the licence AMD got from Intel.
