- Intel to qualify 90-nm process by mid-2003

- Intel Q4 03 result tops estimates
Revenue for Q4 were 7.16B$ (estimate 6.5 to 6.9B$) with a net of 1B$ or .16$ a share compared with .15$ a year earlier. This better-than-expected result could bode well for AMD which will report Q4 result on Thursday 16th of this month. Broadcast will be available

Looking at the past few days news, we feel that AMD and IBM relationship is getting more intimate. The two patents heavy weight (IBM rank first for patents in the US for 10 consecutive years) are both joining UnitedLinux, a partnership of industry-leading Linux companies combining their intellectual property, geographic mind share, sales, support and marketing expertise to produce a uniform distribution of Linux designed for business and that will most probaly focus on porting Linux applications on Opteron quickly and coherently. - Asus A7N8X nForce2 motherboard review
HardwareZone is testing the Deluxe version of the A7N8X based on nForce2-ST a variant that comprises of the nForce2-SPP and nForce2 MCP-T, whilst the non-Deluxe version is built around the nForce2-S. Tests are done with an Athlon XP2000+ (unlocked) and 512MB of Kingston DDR400 and bring another award in Asus' basket: "All in all, the ASUS A7N8X is a solid motherboard that proved to be a worthy overclocker on top of being a full-featured nForce2 motherboard".
