The onboard LAN version is the AK77-8XN which can be found at the incredible price of 87$ here with 5.1 channel sound, ATA 133 and a impressive list of features. Today, Overclockers Club Canada is testing the board and does not recommend it to anyone willing to push the hardware to the limit: "I would still give the AK77-8XN a high recommendation to anyone who isn't interested in exploring the extreme limitations of their hardware" ======================================= 01/24/03 - More tech details about Barton XP 2500+ Several reviews about Barton rated XP 2500+ popped up on different Taiwanese websites and we did gathered the one we had, on a Special Barton page situated here. Today, our friend Psy has found a very good translation of the OC.TW report we're pleased to give you the direct access to this excellent work at Flickerdown here ======================================= 01/24/03 - Asus A7N8X nForce2 motherboard review After testing Chaintech 7NJS, ExtremeMHz is looking at another nForce2 and find the opportunity to compare their respective performances. The result isn't favoring Chaintech's jewel which, according to Humberto Male the reviewer, is clearly behind the Asus' baby: "In terms of performance, the Asus A7N8X beat our Chaintech Zenith 7NJS reference motherboard in just about every phase. While it is not as feature rich in accessories as the Chaintech, the Asus motherboard is a real powerhouse by comparison". Read the whole report here ======================================= 01/23/03 - Chaintech 7NJS nForce2 mainboard review Chaintech Zenith range of motherboards are probably among the most attractive boards in the market today. The high price tag does not seems to refrain buyers from succumbing to its numerous charms. Reviewers also, are enamored with the brand and specially with the nForce2 7NJS model which got another batch of two reviews. The first one comes from Singapore Hardware Zone while the second comes from UK Processor Emporium ======================================= 01/23/03 - Shuttle SN41G2 nForce2 barebone review We have now confirmation than the company is not going to use SiS746 family chipset and will rather concentrate on XPC with an average of two new designs every month! Today Lost Circuits is reviewing the highly successful nForce2 SN41G2 and, in spite of some problems linked to this specific sample, shows another great deal of enthusiasm: "For the purist, though, there is no question. The SN41G2 is a hardware lover's dream come true". Read that here and check for more here ======================================= 01/23/03 - Via KT400 motherboards duel Abit meets Shuttle at Got Apex? for a KT400 fight with all weapons each board can offer. At Abit camp, KD7-RAID is chosen for confronting its benchmark power to Shuttle's AK37-GTR overclocking strength. The result isn't a surprise: the cheaper is the loser! Read that here ======================================= 01/23/03 - MSI K7N2 nForce2 motherboard review The MSI K7N2 is one of the cheapest nForce2 board in town but most of the features (SATA, DualNet, FireWire and MCP-T that sports nVidia’s own Audio Processing Unit) that makes the chipset so attractive are absent. FiringSquad here is testing the board in a long and well documented review where the board's performances shine in many of the gamers popular benchmarks.
