- OCZ EL DDR on .13 reach new summit
OCZ Technology has transitioned its EL DDR IC line from the previous .15 to a new .13 manufacturing process. "Moving to the new process allows us to increase clock speeds and lower latencies while reducing product cost " said Steve Lee, Director of Strategic Business Development. "Yield rates for 0.13 micron DDR400 and faster ICs have exceeded our expectations. Allowing us to forge ahead of our competitors".

- Morgan Stanley raises chip industry rating
Morgan Stanley raised its rating on the semiconductor industry to attractive from in-line. "While there are still numerous issues that we are  concerned about, we believe that reward to risk  parameters have become more attractive during the last few months," analyst Mark Edelstone told clients in a note. "Consequently, we expect our universe of semiconductor stocks to outperform the overall market during the next 12 (to) 18 months."
