- Athlon XP 2100+ at 3383GHz!
O4Pro Team from Finland, using EPoX 8RDA+ with watercooling on southbridge and northbridge and liquid nitrogen at -196°C on CPU, managed to overclock a simple XP 2100+ to the incredible speed of 3382,65GHz. At that speed, SuperPi 1 million was done in 34 seconds and PCMark 2002 shown a score of 10004! Photos and benchmarks are all here and more OC await for you here

- Epic Games says Opteron 4x better
A Slashdot short post from Epic Games Tim Sweeney is very hot about upcoming Opteron and it's worth reading if you have any doubt about the chip's chances: "This platform is going to be a godsend for anybody running serious workstation apps. It will beat other 64-bit workstation platforms (SPARC/PA-RISC/Itanium) in price/performance by a factor of 4X or more. The days of $4000 workstation and server CPU's are over, and those of $1000 CPU's are numbered". Read that here
