"Semico Research Corp. today gave a sneak preview of its annual forecast for the worldwide semiconductor market, and said it expects moderate growth this year with 30 percent growth in 2003... Anton from Xbitlabs has the detail about no less than 5 mainboards that ECS is readying for Clawhammer. Based on AMD, SiS and Via chipsets, the mainboards should arrive between Q4 2002 and Q1 2003. Read it

- Barton core Athlon XP for October!
DigiTimes has the news:
"Supporting a 333MHz FSB (front-side bus) and 512K cache memory, the 13nm Barton-based Athlon XP offers specifications comparable to those of Intel’s new Pentium 4, AMD said. At present, the processor maker plans to launch two Barton-based products in the fourth quarter".

- 333 MHz FSB for the Athlon
Lost Circuit with lot of benchmarks is demonstrating what is the 333MHz FSB advantage:
"...there is a real performance bonus by moving on to 166/166MHz. Overall, the spread between the original pure 266MHz data interface and the pure 333 MHz mode is as much as 17%". Read this fascinating story here
