- Athlon MP 2200+ Server Roundup
Thanks to Psy we're first to give that great link to a magnificent MP2200+ roundup from Anandtech.
APPRO 1124S - 1U, CCSI RC0103 - 1U, Elite PC 2U and more, it's a great job of 25 pages from someone who knows the baby well:
"The Athlon MP is as viable of a solution as it was when we first made the switch. We've been running Athlon CPUs as servers ever since the Thunderbird core was released and the platform has given us nothing to complain". The full review is here and our MP 2000 Special page here

- Four Athlon motherboards for DDR400
THG has a DDR400 motherboard roundup and the introduction text is more than tempting:
"AMD is back! Thanks to the Athlon XP 2600+, the chip manufacturer is now able to catch up with the fastest Pentium 4 systems over 2.5 GHz. Equally important, however, is a fast platform. VIA's new KT400 chipset promises more performance because it supports DDR400 memory. We put the first four motherboards through intensive testing - and the results are astonishing". Read here

- AMD's new Indian window of opportunity "For more than a decade Advanced Micro Devices Inc. competed with little success against dominant rival Intel Corp. in India's processor market. AMD was shut out largely by a government mandate that specified an Intel architecture for systems bought by India's various federal and state government agencies. Now that obstacle has been removed." - Asus A7V8X KT400 motherboard review
The A7V8X is probably the hottest motherboard in town and GamePC has a good look on it with some flattering comments: "The onboard connectivity options on the A7V8X are simply top of the line. Gigabit Ethernet, Serial ATA, Firewire, USB 2.0, & 6-Channel hardware audio with S/PDIF out is a fairly impressive roster of onboard features". Read here or here

09/05/02 - MSI KT3 Ultra2-BR (Blue Tooth) review
For the second time PC Stat is reviewing a KT3 but today it's different. The Ultra2-BR has lot of improvements that make it a whole new board:

- Abit AT7 Max in the Viper's Lair
Another great review from the underground lair of the viper and it's all but venom:
"The 3 PCI slots will seem at first to many to be a very low number, but when you consider that there is onboard 5.1 sound as well as onboard LAN, Firewire and the USB, that's 2 or more cards you won't need". Read here and also here
