It's here and our DDR pages are here and here ======================================= 09/17/02 - AMD grumbles at Microsoft Itanic display INQ has a story (here) about AMD upset for MSFT choice of Itanic II demo instead of Hammer at MSFT Servers DevCon. We just found 2 links that may explain that: "Intel is proud to be the premier sponsor of this event and will also be sponsoring the Windows 64-bit lab and 64-bit pavilion"... see Intel and MSFT ======================================= 09/17/02 - Athlon XP 2400 Thoroughbred review Good we have another XP 2400+ review where its overclocking abilities are, one more time, underlined: "Don't be mistaken for a moment, the stock performance of the AthlonXP 2400+ is simply awesome. Even for the most hardcore user, there is plenty of power in the CPU. If you do feel that you need to overclock, the chip we tested was able to hit about 2.25 GHz but it seems that quite a few of them will do 2.4 GHz on just air cooling". Read the rest here or see our XP 2400+ page here ======================================= 09/17/02 - IBM, Intel to collaborate on blade servers Here is what Reuters is saying and it doesn't sound too good to us: "IBM and Intel declined to discuss specific financial and staffing details of the collaboration, which the two said would last for at least two years. IBM said it expects to introduce blade servers with Intel's latest Xeon server chips later this month". Reuters - Silicon - IT world The Register - IDG ======================================= 09/17/02 - Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra review Nice review from UK Blarg OC but let them do our work: "Soyo have always been up there with the best of the rest with regard to quality and performance and to this day they retain this reputation with their VIA 333 chipset-based board, the KT333 Dragon Ultra. In the KT333 Dragon range there are three boards to choose from; the Lite, the Ultra (on black PCB, which I am reviewing here) and the Platinum (on a swanky white PCB)". Thanks Blarg OC, we'll visit you here and on our way back we'll visit Soyo Dragon KT333 page here ======================================= Older news here - Comments, suggestions, links here |
