- AMD not joining Tablet PC fiesta
According to DigiTimes, Microsoft announced 11 vendors and 3 processors makers (Intel, Transmeta and Via). Obviously, AMD isn't part of the project for undisclosed reasons, we suppose linked to the low price Microsoft was probably willing to pay for the chips

ZDnet has more details about Sun plan to start selling Linux machines next year but does not tell us about the chosen chip. So until official release date, we can expect lot of rumors and counter rumors like we had with the Xbox pre-release.
