Richard Baker, AMD's European Marketing Manager is answering to Kay Nine's article and it's pretty neat:
"The semiconductor industry doesn't give out "Fab of
the Year" accolades to plants that are "slow in ramping
up clock speeds and never had good yields". Dresden is
(and always has been) a great fab that beats expectations"

- Intel Is Kicking Silicon at AMD
Business Week's Olga Kharif is summarizing AMD vs. Intel situation in a very "rational" way worth a look:
"That puts tremendous pressure on AMD's bottom line. Intel's margins still reach 47%, but AMD's gross margins dropped from 35% in the first quarter, to an all-time low of 7% in the second quarter".
