- Gitex 2002 at Dubai - Day 1
Gitex, which is now held in four different destinations: Dubai, Beirut, Riyadh and Hyderabad has welcomed more than one million visitors and 10,000 exhibitors over its 22-year history. The today version in Dubai has just been inaugurate by HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. Sky Electronics, AMD's distributor in Middle East is showing 800MHz Hammer as explained at T-break day 1 here

- XP 2800+ cannot be overclocked?
Anton at Xbitlabs is telling us that Athlon XP 2800+ core B of Thoroughbred is reaching the limit of speed it can achieve and cannot be overclocked at all. This would explain the present and future shortage. To prove this, Anton is also mentioning a report at OC.ru here where the author couldn't overclock the single sample CPU he has to more than 2327MHz and ends up saying that Barton won't help to solve the situation... Club Overclocking's Scott has this new Corsair PC3500 memory for reviewing and, one more time, conclusion is lyrical:

- Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra review
Reaperman at Technoyard isn't too impressed with this board performances but he thinks that things might changes with faster FSB on new generation Athlon: "Things will definitely change if you get hold of one of the new 2800+ or 2700+ Athlon XP processors which comes with a 166MHz FSB".
